ADVANCED Warm & Cool Colour Wheel Template

$4.00

A3 Warm & Cool Colour Wheels Template [BRITISH SPELLING]

For use towards advanced colour theory and proficient understanding of colour mixing with paint. Can be used with other materials and mediums too!

**ONLY WORKS WITH MEDIA THAT HAS WARM AND COOL TONED PRIMARY COLOURS !! - just an FYI! I use chromacryl warm and cool-toned acrylic paints.

This A3 template includes:

  • 2 x Colour Wheels

  • 12 sections for students to paint 3 Primary, 3 Secondary & 6 Tertiary Colours

  • Space to apply tints in the outside ring, using white paint

  • Boxes to apply knowledge of shades to 1 x chosen colour

  • Complementary/Opposite Colour examples

I love to use these colour wheel templates alongside a discussion of colour theory and this particular template is a great one for advancing high school students in Art/Painting classes. Cover Warm & Cold versions of Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and Complementary colours all on one page. There is also the addition of tints, creating a shade and comparing complementary pairing in warm and cool tones.

This template can be purchased once and used for years with your students. I tend to push print to a class set for students and am set for 1-2 lessons. Plus, I find it a great way to continue to develop brush skills as students try to stay inside the lines. Once completed, students can stick in their books to reference later if needed.

*Your digital download will be delivered to you as a zipped folder - you will need to unzip and read the T&C’s then the PDF template is free for you to use and print.

*Example is free to download in my shop!

Enjoy!

This branding reflects Selah's unique approach to therapy and her commitment to creating a supportive environment for her clients. Every element, from the logo to the colour palette, has been thoughtfully crafted to resonate with the warmth and inclusivity of her practice. Controversial opinion incoming: I don’t make booklets for senior design projects anymore.

Instead, I give them A3, double-sided instruction sheets with everything they need laid out clearly in one place.

Teaching design isn’t just about the final product.. it’s about making the process visible.

Last week I shared a process log template I created for my students to track their independent learning, skill-building, and creative decisions a
